Happy Birthday Lola!

Lauren chose a trip to Chuck E Cheese to kick off her birthday celebration. This is her favorite ride--I think she spent more than half her tokens riding this horse over and over and over again.
The kids spent the morning running crazy, playing games and riding rides. Basically everything about Chuck E Cheese freaked Claire out. She hated Chuck E, hated all the rides, and just wanted to take the skee balls with her. As you can see, she spent most of the morning crying. I think it's safe to say, we will not be coming here for her birthday anytime soon.

Luckily for Joel and me, we talked Lauren out of eating at Chuck E Cheese (world's WORST pizza), and instead had lunch at a local place before heading home for cake and presents. Everyone but Joel donned a Princess party hat, (his head was too big--HA!) and we watched Lauren blow out the candles on her princess cake.

Then it was time for presents. Her favorite gifts were a new Barbie, and a fun Princess DVD game from Aunt Karen. We spent the rest of the night playing the game with our three princesses (Jackson, Lauren and Dallin) arguing over whose turn it was to wear the tiara. Yes, we have video footage to use on the boys later on.
It was the perfect day. We got to be together, and celebrate all things Lola.
Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

Yay! I agree, Chuck E Cheese is the worst pizza and SO overpriced!

looks like a fun party. don't you just love chuck-e cheese. i remember when maddie was little good ol' chuck-e made one of his wild mechanical arm movements and hit her in the back of the head, nearly knocking her from the stage. she's scared of him to this day...each time we go i put her up there with him thinking that maybe it'll happen again. (is that mean?whatever, it was the funniest thing ever, and i need a good laugh)!
love the princess cake too.
pss. oh and your arms look super skinny in the first pic...i'm already jealous envisioning my already fat arms at 7 months. yuck.

She is the perfect princess. My girls would have so much fun with her! I had to chuckle at the picture of you in front of Chuckie. You looked sooooo happy to be there. :)

Poor Claire! Nothing like being traumitized by your sister's birthday. =) Lauren looks so happy and so cute - glad it was a great day for her! And hopefully you can avoid going back there anytime soon, Chelsey! =)
